Nat Greene supports the idea that many rural communities have the ability to become self-sustaining in the New Economy presented by the Internet. Through this medium many individual, organizations, and businesses can exchange ideas, services and even product without forsaking the quality of life rural America offers.
Nat Greene believes that as the “Creative Industry” continues to grow in America coupled with Boomers seeking “Quality of Life” changes – that rural communities with natural amenities, services, and substantially lower crime rates will see a rise in their population. Being able to receive them, is the most important aspect of retaining our communities and keeping them alive.
Lastly, because our environment is a shared experience; we believe that growth and opportunity should not sacrifice or put at risk our ecology. Growth of Green Energy, Community Supported Agriculture, and Environmental Stewardship are areas we feel will always be an underlying aspect of future growth in rural America.
