Gift Shoppe

Like any organization, we need money!  Not a ton of money, but enough to keep the doors open so we can continue to provide area communities and organizations the forum and stimulation to keep “fighting the good fight”.  As such, we have created a few different items we would like to sell for fund raising although we are equally as happy to accept a donation or an endowment (know anyone?).

Meanwhile, until we find ourselves written into “Daddy Warbucks”  estate planning we will need to come up with innovative and valuable items to sell to the public.  You will also note that Nat has been cultivated by local area artist and member, Colleen Nelson.  We believe that she mixed an appropriate balance of Nat’s earlier years with the hipness of St. Pepper – natheadbb

so without further ” a dew”  we present …. our original Store Front

Hello, I am Nathanael Greene and I would like to welcome you to our Gift Shoppe.  Everyone at the my Historical Foundation hopes that you enjoy our site.  We have put a little twist on the typical storefront to make history and culture even more enjoyable.  After all who doesn’t enjoy a rousing discussion of early western Pennsylvanian migration and its effect on river trade for the colonies.

So in keeping with this brief introduction, I hope you find something that stirs your cockles. (whatever those are!)

Local Artists have recreated one of the staples of history for Greensboro. These jars are perfect for holding your quills or dry flower arrangement. It even has a bottom to it to prevent it from leaking or loosing items when moved. Now that’s innovative!
Please note that supplies are becoming limited but we promise to have more made.

Pottery Sherds?

Sherds, yes shreds – never heard of sherds? Sherds are shards but named differently because they are pottery not glass (see - we learn something everyday!) Each box comes with 3-5 sherds and can be used to make all kinds of interesting things. Best of all if you need more sherds break them in half and DOUBLE your collection! Makes a great conversation piece – just try to explain these to your friends without sounding Swedish!
